Tactical Operations Considerations...
I am posting a couple of video’s for educational purposes, so we can learn from others situations and mistakes... When you view these videos you can see the difference in the security forces training and equipment in different parts of the world. In all parts of the world some police departments and security forces are very well trained and equipped, while others receive little training or support...
So, what differences can be seen from these videos that high-light potential issues that are applicable globally to tactical operations?
My thoughts are:
Training: Are the people realistically trained to deal with the situations they encounter?
Kit: Do they have the right equipment? Personally I think over equipping is just a big of a problem as under equipping...
Leadership: Are the leaders properly trained and skilled to lead the operations they are tasked with?
I think things in the first video could have gone a lot worse and I hope the cop that was shot recovers quickly. I believe the emphasis needs to be on training and leadership but these days most people just want to dress up and look cool rather than work hard training.
I welcome your thoughts and comments!
